On March 13, 2024, the Pacific Island countries from Tonga, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, FSM, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and New Zealand were in attendance during the Pacific Lunch with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres hosted by the Australian Permanent Mission the UN. The lunch event provided an opportunity for the Pacific nations to share their concerns to the UN Secretary-General, and have a one-on-one setting of meaningful dialogue.
